Any reckless, miscalculated or repeated mistake by the enemy will certainly impose far heavier, more painful and more costly consequences than before, Azizi said on Thursday.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of an independent police command in southern Kerman Province, Azizi said the new command sent a message that security rested on public support and the Iranian people’s unwavering resolve.
Azizi said Iran’s Armed Forces, including the Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Law Enforcement Command, remained committed to defending the country.
He said adversaries were seeking to undermine the Islamic Republic’s credibility and legitimacy, adding that Iranian officials’ commitment to promises and honest service would strengthen public trust and institutional legitimacy.
He also recalled the assassination of Brigadier General Qassem Soleimani and other resistance commanders and officials, saying their martyrdom would not be forgotten.
He described the establishment of the southern Kerman command as an initial step toward strengthening security across southeastern Iran, saying that sustainable national security required a comprehensive approach to border regions.
