Regarding US threats to attack Iran’s civilian infrastructure, he emphasized that the Islamic Republic has the right to self-defense against any aggression.

Jahangiri also stressed that if the US uses the territory of neighboring countries to attack Iran’s civilian facilities, Iranian armed forces will definitely respond. “Using the territory of third countries to aggress against another country constitutes participation in aggression, and the target country has the right to react to it.”

Talking about ways to end the war, the diplomat said that an effective way needs to be found to end the war, not merely a temporary ceasefire. “The first step is to end the war and provide guarantees that such a war will not happen again.”
